During that time, Cynthia’s father met with her mother through a cousin and tied a bond together. What inspired her father to write was his brother Armando’s murder.
He composed his first ballad inspired by this tragic event, and then he didn’t stop and even composed during his time in prison.
He was getting paid for his compositions, which pushed him into Mexican singing. The first cassette of Chalino’s songs was recorded in 1989.

While performing at the Salon Bugambilias in Culiacán on May 15, 1992, someone from an audience member sent a note to Chalino.
It was exactly four months after the Coachella incident in which Chalino had a gunfight with Eduardo Gallego on the stage during his performance. It is believed the note contained a death threat, and Chalino crumpled the note and went to perform.

As the club closed, Chalino left with his brothers and some other companions. When they were on their way, a group of armed people stopped them and asked Chalino to join them in their car as they were looking like state police.
The next morning on May 16, 1992, Chalino, 31, was found dead with two bullet wounds on the back of his head near the irrigation canal on Highway 15. The unfortunate death of Cynthia Sánchez Vallejo’s father left her mother a widow.

Cynthia Sánchez Vallejo Brother, Adán Sánchez Death
Adán Santos Sánchez Vallejo was born in 1984 and died in 2004, 12 years after his father’s murder. Adán was a reflection of his father as he was known as Adán Chalino Sánchez in honor of Chalino Sánchez, his father. He also adopted the same profession as his father and worked as a Regional Mexican musician.
On March 27, 2004, a week after the concert, Sánchez went on a promotional road trip through Sinaloa, the state where his father was born. He was driving his father’s 1990 Lincoln Town Car for going to a concert in Tuxpan, Nayarit, Mexico.
Unfortunately, the car tire blew on the highway between Rosario and Escuinapa. According to the police, the accident was caused by Adán losing control of the vehicle. This accident caused him many severe head injuries, and Cynthia Sánchez’s elder brother died at just 19.
